By the way, I don't care what juice you are drinking, carrot, apple or orange juice. I'm not saying you should quit all juice, but perhaps you can just be aware, that you can do better, and limit your consumption of it.
Let me suggest an alternative. What if you could have your juice and fiber too? There are a number of blenders out there that will do the job for you. You can use something like a Magic Bullet, about $50, or a Vita Mix, $350, and a few products in-between as far as price is concerned. Whatever blender you use, the idea is to grind up whatever you put into it, whole oranges, beets, carrots, greens, frozen mangoes, etc. You add water or some sort of liquid to blend the greens, veggies, and fruits you throw into the blender, and that will make a juice, or smoothie. Try not to add any sweeteners. I usually blend about 60% greens and 40% fruits. You can also add fresh or frozen herbs like mint, cilantro, or tarragon, and ginger or curcumin root (turmeric). Bananas getting too ripe can go in the freezer and can be used later for blending. You can also add cooked sweet potatoes. Don't be afraid to experiment.
